Notes

  • The 1851 census shows Issac living in Goldsmith Row, Shoreditch, London.
He is with his wife Mary, their daughter Mary and a servant called Jane Ritchie age 16 born in Lambeth. She is likely to be a relative (sister?) of Mary. One last person present appears to be a "visitor" called Mary Stynes or possibly Sykes, unmarried age 21.  The document is quite faint and difficult to read.

In 1861 living in Trafalgar Road, Camberwell, at "The Grand Surrey Canal House". Present are also his wife Mary, children Mary, Christine, Margaret and Jane and also Margaret Ritchie, sister in law and barmaid, and Jane Ritchie age 52, mother in law (visitor).
The 1861 census shows birthplace of Isaac as Bethnal Green, Middlesex.

1871 census in Shadwell, London, shows Margaret as his wife.

The 1881 census shows him as a widower.
