Notes
- The 1851 census shows George age 38 living at 12 Cole Harbour Lane, Brixton, in a building known as Martha Cottage. He is with his wife Mary 39, their children - Jane 13, John 12, William 11, Sarah 9, Samuel 7, Harriett 6, Ellen 4 and Elizabeth 2. Also there is his brother Jesse, unmarried age 25. It is interesting to see that in each case only one first name is shown and this is often the child's middle name, presumably the name they were called by in daily life.
The 1861 census puts the family at 61 Cold Harbour Nursery (I think the word is Nursery?) some children shown in the 1851 census (John, William and Sarah) are no longer present.
The 1871 gives their address as 81 Cold Harbour Lane "Nursery Grounds".
John Falkner shows death of George in March 1884
