Hello Les,
Thank you so much for your e-mail about Mary Woollett. I'm sorry for taking so
long in responding to your message. I have been under the weather this past
month and am just now getting around to answering some of my mail....a little at
a time.
No, I haven't had any success with Mary Woollett. I don't seem to find many
people with that surname in the Brede, Sussex area. I don't recall if I
mentioned to you, but I did find, in the 1841 Brede, Sussex census, a Thomas
Woollett age 25, who appears to be living with William Cutbush, age 30 and his
wife Eliza, age 30. That's the extent of my Woollett research.
Of interest, Charlotte Cutbush married David Noakes 02 June 1843 in Brede,
Sussex. David Noakes was a nephew of my Thomas Noakes m. to Mary Woollett.
But, I have had so much success, via contacts on the internet, with other
surnames I'm researching that someday I'm sure something will turn up. Thanks
again for your message. Please keep in touch.
Regards....Barbara Little

I would like to be added to your WOOLLETT list with the following
information: I am searching for parents and/or siblings of Mary
Woollett. She was b. circa 1800 probably in Sussex, England. She
married Thomas Noakes April 30, 1820 at Brede, Sussex, England. The
Noakes family immigrated to Syracuse, New York about 1841-42. Mary
Noakes nee Woollett is found in the 1841 Brede, Sussex census with their
eight children. The Thomas Noakes family settled in Lockport, Will Co.,
Illinois USA abt. 1844. Thomas Noakes d. October 20, 1849 and Mary
Noakes nee Woollett died sometime between the 1870 and 1880 Illinois
census. Will appreciate any information.
