Notes

  • Robert Woollett was born in Chicago, Illinois,  married Hannah McCumber in Fond du Lac, WI, then moved to Minneapolis where he was a trunk maker in Minneapolis, Minn. (R. N. Woollett, Trunkmaker) until the Depression of 1893.  He took his family south to Mexico (along with brother - A.E. Woollett)  to the Mazatlan Peninsula to grow vanilla beans.  There was a frost that year, very rare, which ruined the crop.  He then moved family to Tampico, Mexico where he set up a ship's chandlery, which was later owned and run by his sons Don and Roy.  He died in Tampico probably about 1917.

Marriage took place at Methodist/Episcopal Church, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Record shows his parents as Charles and MaryAnn, rather than John and Marie, as per his brother George Woollett's death certificate.
